James House was established in 1986 with the aim of providing basic needs for children in need in the Hout Bay community. B.E.S.T PROGRAMME: (Building Emotionally Strong Teens) is a 6-month non-residential solution to prevent at-risk teenage boys and girls with challenging behaviour entering a path that may be destructive to either themselves or others. B.E.S.T follows a strengths-based, developmental, and holistic approach, always taking into account the individual needs and B.E.S.T interest of each child. ISIBINDI PROGRAMME: The Isibindi Programme is a nationally accredited community base model of care for orphans and vulnerable children developed by the NACCW and implemented by James House. TRAINING PROGRAMME: To provide high quality, relevant, practical, and professional training will be offered to external agencies (NGO, NGO, other CYC CENTRES and schools) for persons working with children and families to be well equipped with skills to understand and safeguard beneficiaries.
